Nectaris project was born in 2009, the aim is to produce in Istria a sparkling wine able to stand for the unique “terroir” of the peninsula, another objective is to create a sparkling wine that suitable to match with the Istrian seafood. The hills on the east side of Poreč, are the perfect place for the birth and growth of unique vineyards, indeed Istria has been considered one of the best wine areas in Central Europe since ancient times, thanks to its fruitful soil and mild Mediterranean climate that distinguish this peninsula.

The first vineyards were planted in 2012 and are all equipped with irrigation system and grown with Sylvoz method.
The plots, all located in an hilly area between 200 and 400 meters above sea level among 10 and 20 km from the sea, are divided into four different locations: Gambetići, Fabci, Bratovići and Baderna.
